There are several training programs designed to cater for all ages.
Karate Kubbs
Our Karate Kubbs program is an age specific curriculum for students from 4-6 years old that is designed to teach children important life skills in a fun, exciting and enriching manner. Two classes per week run for 45 minutes.
Our secret to teaching your child coordination, concentration and self-control is a unique method that uses the excitement and fun of the Karate Kubbs martial arts skills to teach key life lessons you would want your child to know.
Eight (8) main life skills are taught in the Karate Kubbs program. These are Focus, Teamwork, Balance, Discipline, Coordination, Self-Control, Memory and Fitness. Other values such as Manners, Respect Following Directions are other life skills that are learnt along the way.
Children’s Class
Our Children’s program is designed for students from 7-11 years old and is divided into 2 groups; Beginners White belt to Orange belt and Advanced Green belt and above. This ensures all children receive the training and direction required. Two classes per week run for one hour each.
We endeavour to promote health and well-being, discipline, tolerance and a heap of fun. The class teaches the fundamental techniques of Karate. The programme focuses on motor skills; hand-eye coordination, balance and agility. More importantly for all children, our training instils achievement, attitude, teamwork, respect, integrity and perseverance. But the best part of all is that karate will give your child the self-discipline to study. This leads to increased concentration at school, which often pays off in the form of better grades.
Our coaches continue working on basic physical skills. The Advanced class also offers students far more challenging karate techniques. We also focus on his or her level of fitness including strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and stamina along with lifetime self-defence skills all through fun exercises. The class also helps children make the right decision by having control and self-discipline. Whether your child is dealing with bullies or handling any other problem, they will learn to make the right decisions.
Teenagers Class
The Teenagers program is designed for students from 11-14 years old. Our programme helps each student realise their goals, both on and off the training floor. We endeavour to teach teenagers about time management, leadership skills, and goal setting. All of these are required in today’s work environment. These classes help to develop discipline in each student in a positive environment. As a result, many of our students have greatly improved their school grades. We teach the philosophy of karate, as well as the pure physical techniques. Our programme challenges the entire body, developing better hand eye coordination, balance, agility and poise. Two classes per week run for one hour each.
Adults & Young Adults Class
Our Adults & Young Adults program is designed for students 15 years and above. All students have the opportunity to train with others at their level. Karate can be practised either as a discipline for personal development, a sport for fitness, or a skill for self-defence. Adults often neglect the importance of exercise to both physical and mental health. Karate is a progressive form of physical training and functional movement, helping you reach an optimum level of physical fitness at any age. It is a life-long journey in which advancing age is no hindrance, and encourages proficiency in the keen coordination of mind and body. Our adult programme has been carefully designed to suit any person from any background. Age and physical condition are addressed on an individual basis so that each person will benefit and succeed at their training. Our teaching methods highlight your strengths and strengthen your weaknesses. Karate is for people looking for more than just a workout. Two classes per week run for one and half hours each.
